Today, the challenges we face as Americans are pulling us apart rather than bringing us together. Conversations have shifted from finding answers to fueling conflict. But debate, at its best, isn’t about agreeing—it’s about understanding.
Using humor to avoid conflict hinders the opportunity to address emotions. When discussing a conflict, the focus should be on understanding and resolution, not amusement. It’s a time for active listening and working toward a shared solution.
Letting go of anger frees up energy for resolution. When past grievances resurface in new conflicts, they create unnecessary barriers. True resolution happens when all parties find common ground and strive toward a shared goal.
Joy can be a challenging emotion to hold onto. Take a moment now to recall a time when you felt truly joyful. As you bring this memory into focus, create a safe space to reflect with vulnerability and curiosity. Trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
