People who claim that “talk is cheap," have clearly never spoken to a lawyer.

A question about the doctrine of “Once Saved Always Saved”

@YourCalvinist Well said

When God calls you, he supplies everything you need to answer his call.

@TDCAA Good idea

Any Gospel that allows you to keep on sinning, without being convicted by the Holy Spirit... is not the Gospel.

Boy do I have some Good News for you!!

Alistair Begg on knowing vs. feeling in worship. This is magnificent.

Why we as Christians should vote. Make sure you hear this whole message, it’s under 4 minutes.

New chapter, same book. 📽️

@YourCalvinist Yes! Thank you for adding the “United” specifier!

@megbasham Dem policies are incompatible with christian principles, yet he doesn’t trust Trump. That’s an extremely common and understandable viewpoint. But because he doesn’t say “Vote Trump” from the pulpit you assume the congregation is “likely sitting out…. ”. Weak assessment here.

@megbasham Outstanding message. He nails it.

If every pro-abortion activist, politician, and journalist were administered truth serum, abortion would be rejected by the public in an instant. An act as obviously heinous as prenatal homicide can only survive on lies. It is popular on the left to argue that the Bible is silent on abortion and that the Church never opposed abortion until it became politically advantageous for Republicans to do so in the 80s. Like every pro-abortion talking point upon which the abortion movement relies, it is unquestionably a lie. Not only is the Bible clear on this subject (Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:41-44; ; Exodus 21:22-25; Job 10:11-12; Isaiah 44:24), so is Church history. “You shall not abort a child or commit infanticide.” -The Didache, the most influential 1st century document of Christian ethics “[Those] who administer drugs to cause abortion, as well as those who take poisons to destroy unborn children, are guilty of murder.” -Basil of Caeserea “The womb of [Novatus’] wife was smitten by a blow of his heel; and in the miscarriage that soon followed, the offspring was brought forth, the fruit of a father’s murder. And now does he dare to condemn the hands of those who sacrifice [to idols], when he himself is more guilty in his feet, by which the son, who was about to be born, was slain?” -Cyprian of Carthage “Thou shalt not murder a child by abortion, nor again shalt thou kill it when it is born.” -The epistle of Barnabas "In our case, murder being once for all forbidden, we may not destroy even the fetus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from the mother’s body to make a new creature. Prevention of birth is premature murder." -Tertullian “Wherefore I beseech you, flee fornication. . . . Why sow where the ground makes it its care to destroy the fruit?—where there are many efforts at abortion?—where there is murder before the birth? For even the harlot you do not let continue a mere harlot, but make her a murderess also. You see how drunkenness leads to prostitution, prostitution to adultery, adultery to murder; or rather to a something even worse than murder. For I have no name to give it, since it does not take off the thing born, but prevents its being born. Why then do thou abuse the gift of God, and fight with his laws, and follow after what is a curse as if a blessing, and make the chamber of procreation a chamber for murder, and arm the woman that was given for childbearing unto slaughter?” -John Crysostom “What man of sound mind, therefore, will affirm, while such is our character, that we are murderers? . . . [W]hen we say that those women who use drugs to bring on abortion commit murder, and will have to give an account to God for the abortion, on what principle should we commit murder? For it does not belong to the same person to regard the very fetus in the womb as a created being, and therefore an object of God’s care, and when it has passed into life, to kill it; and not to expose an infant, because those who expose them are chargeable with child-murder, and on the other hand, when it has been reared to destroy it." -Athenagoras “The fetus, though enclosed in the womb of its mother, is already a human being, and it is an almost monstrous crime to rob it of the life which it has not yet begun to enjoy. If it seems more horrible to kill a man in his own house than in a field, because a man’s house is his place of most secure refuge, it ought surely to be deemed more atrocious to destroy a fetus in the womb before it has come to light.” -John Calvin Martin Bucer argued that divorce was justified in the event of a capital crime being committed by a spouse, and used abortion as an example. “[Abortion is] so profoundly contrary to the divine institution of marriage that by it the nuptial agreement is totally dissolved.” “Destruction of the embryo in the mother’s womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed on this nascent life. To raise the question of whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.” -Dietrich Bonhoeffer
