@LenaKauffman In the cabinet, I believe Linden, Thompson, Rice, Heyward, & Hilton have admin certs. Internally, they could also draw up a principal, AP, or VP.

@LenaKauffman I don't believe an Admin cert. is req'd to be a Asst Super of non academic depts like finance or transportation and I can't find her in the Michigan Educator Credential Lookup michigan.gov/mde/services/e…

@dusse1dorf @bdimcheff Seconded. It also has a little hotel attached and is walkable to a wide variety of other bars for after dinner adventures.

@naomiggoldberg @bdimcheff Seconded for Lula. Good anytime of day and—broken record on this—its nearby to many other nice spots (Billy Sunday around the corner had a *fantastic* cocktail called the Box Lunch). Reno is a great breakfast spot across the Square.

@juliewbee @bdimcheff @DharmaAkmon I had a good (& surprisingly casual) time but it seemed to be because I was in the 'industry'. None of the other tables appeared to be having that kind of experience. I suspect it's a "you get out what you put in" type affair but even so I don't think I'd (pay to) go again.

@bdimcheff Its a fun, sweet little spot. It's not terribly far from cocktail places like Scofflaw (free cookie at midnight) or (in the other direction) Billy Sunday. {disclaimer: haven't been to any of these places in 6 years or so)

@juliewbee @bdimcheff @DharmaAkmon Alinea is nice but its a structured experience that doesnt lend itself to things like luxuriating over a dessert and a digestif and cocktail. If you want gastronomic diner theater then go for it but otherwise....meh.

@jenncornell @ArgusFarmStop @SplendidTable If you're thinking option 2, perhaps this one: davidlebovitz.com/moist-chocolat…

@jenncornell @ArgusFarmStop @SplendidTable Their options were 1) mask what you don't like (e.g., roast to hide dirt flavor, elevate sugars), 2) obscure the thing entirely (e.g., grated beets in brownies), or 3) just leaning into the fact that you gave it a shot and, well, you don't like 'em nor do you have to. 2/2
