When I order my #Nespresso capsules these days, chances are I get depression instead of coffee. This is after a more than one-minute timeout on the "go to cart" button, which initially felt unwired. Great people still work there, but they aren't those who steer the battleship :-(

The inflationary usage of "data-driven" in management parlance has degraded that term from meaning: "have lots of data and use advanced models to support decisions in a certain area" to meaning: "occasionally check an Excel sheet instead of winging it all the time". Progress!

The damage dealt to software development in the name of "operational efficiency" is staggering. Development isn't "operations". Developers walking into the office, sitting down, connecting to the company ldap, filling timesheets, that's "operations". Make those "efficient"
