What’s the enforcement mechanism for the executive order? What would happen to the offender if it was violated? Legitimately interested - I read several parts around the section about models with too many FLOPS but didn’t see any discussion of penalties

Big Q for me: how will OpenAI charge for image processing cost? Is a picture worth a thousand tokens? One cool use case I've found so far is building a web scraper that takes in image of page and returns text. Getting GPT-4 to write webscraper code is token intensive b/c HTML...

New idea for giving feedback on tweets inspired by @eugenewei and @benthompson conversation: a tinder like swipe on tweets to train the algorithm for what you like and don’t. Let’s you easily pass negative sentiment to algo. Much more valuable than current swipe actions

Super excited to release some cool work that’s been cooking for the last 3 months or so next week. In the meantime, check out the interview @labenz did with @Replit. We used replit for our project and going from a url to running code in seconds was a “woah” moment for me

Thinking of buying a new laptop. Is it better to get a maxed out MacBook Pro or get a new MacBook Air and spend the delta on a cloud gpu machine? My main use case is playing with open source text and image models and building mvp-like applications on top of them with my own data
