@Birdyword @GeoffyPJohnston Most of Canadians have forever forsaken the US when the US became our enemy. Not because of tariffs or threat of detention. It was because the White House decided that Canada should be annexed. #ElbowsUp #GenevaSuggestions

@VoiceOfFranky Tariffs have their use, from market protection agaist unfair trade practices to a huge tome of classification that identifies everything (wasted a lot of paper historically). Government revenue is not one of them. Not anymore. cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/trade-commerce…

@gator_gum For a moment I wondered just how this moron was on the other place. Then I realized this is Xitter. I return to the intelligent polysylabic place of azure atmosphere.

@TakeThatClouds It would be nice if someone plugged that radar data into the MRMS system, and made it available.

@TakeThatClouds I grew up under several major flight routes. Neat to see aircraft flying through airmass changes, and their effect on contrails. Had a geography teacher (former flight svc meteo) explained it with Skew-T plots.

@GeoffyPJohnston It seems that exposure to certain air pollutants during pregnancy is a contributing factor. With all the bullsiht that is being spewed by RFK &Co, we're going to see an uptick in cases.

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!” He took his vorpal sword in hand; Long time the manxome foe he sought— So rested he by the Tumtum tree And stood awhile in thought.

@AvalonResists @csordoni @TheTyee Pressure? Given who we're dealing with, he'll just take. Or try to. It's not treaty or laws that will stop him, but engineering and geography.

@TrollAdopt Looks like Russia is sowing discord again. They have to be a bit smarter with the centre-left though. They're off to a good start though. ... um ... this isn't 🦋... I must have wandered back into the Xwilight Xone.

@PHealthGnome Until the genotype is sequenced it's speculation. I suspect an avian source. HPAI is active in BC at the moment and in the Health Region. It would be concerning if there is another transmission vector emerging.

@ReinChange I know the name of my MP (CPC) but have never seen anything he's done. My MPP (NDP) is always in the local news.

@gator_gum A lot have moved on to greener, sunnier pastures away from this place. Of these: some fall silent; some unfollow all and just leave a non-engaging presence; some extirpate themselves, deleting their history and then their account.

@JHMustapha This thing is an experiment in extreme consumerism. No matter how ugly or poorly constructed - stick a high enough price sticker, restrict supply and hype it - demand will surge.
