Think about how cruel this is. Caged & separated from loved ones. No physical touch. Hidden & trapped behind prison walls. And now people can’t even even see their loved ones’ handwriting. Feel an object they touched. Hold a photograph. This is torture masquerading as “safety.”

Marion Correctional Institution in North Carolina is eliminating physical mail, forcing inmates to pay to use tablets to connect w/ love ones. You can't send them a physical letter or pics. They denied pics & letters I sent to my sons & they withheld a book called Addicted to War

Cameron Herrin does not deserve 24 years. Many people will disagree with me but the whole thing was an accident. Yes, a mother and daughter lost their lives, but k*lling them were not his intentions. Personally, I think his sentence should be lowered. #cameronherrin

THREAD: Imagine your dearest loved one. Child. Spouse. Parent. Grandparent. Now imagine them locked in a concrete room the size of a parking space. Behind solid steel. 20-24 hr/day. No contact w/ other humans except screams thru a food slot. This is solitary. This is torture.

Reprehensible. Nathaniel Veltman murdered 4 Muslims because they are Muslim, and media publishes a fawning photo of him running a 5K race. No mug shot. No arrest shot. No shot in cuffs. A colorful photo of him living his best life. White supremacy is a helluva drug.

A family of 5 in London, ON were deliberately struck by a motorist just for being Muslim, 4 have died. Don’t tell us #Islamophobia doesn’t exist in Canada. Don’t tell us racism doesn’t exist in Canada. Don’t tell us that the hate we feel every day for just existing isn’t real.

I’m horrified by the news from London, Ontario. To the loved ones of those who were terrorized by yesterday’s act of hatred, we are here for you. We are also here for the child who remains in hospital - our hearts go out to you, and you will be in our thoughts as you recover.

If the United States is going to be a credible voice on human rights on the global stage, we must uphold international standards of human rights consistently. We must recognize that Palestinian rights matter. Palestinian lives matter. nyti.ms/3bqHFrB

Palestine doesn’t have an army. Israel is sending an army into Gaza to fight a people who literally DO NOT HAVE AN ARMY TO FIGHT BACK WITH?? What war? This is genocide.

I stand with the Palestinian people. My heart aches for the families who have lost loved ones. We can not stand as silent witnesses to children being orphaned and murdered and not demand for the human rights of all Palestinians! This must end. Free Palestine.

Afghanistan donating 1 million dollars to Palestine even though it’s a third world country itself says everything you need to know about Afghans.

Saying "but Hamas" or "but what the Palestinians did" in this situation is the equivalent of saying "all lives matter." You're reflexively obscuring the power dynamics and systemic racism at play, and equating state violence with the retaliation of the powerless. Just stop.
