imo if you’re against waymo for, idk, vague anti-tech reasons, or you think driving jobs are the future of work, you gotta admit that you’re willing to tolerate the trade off of more accidents & fatalities.

Before you say “this isn’t surprising”… Yes, it is. We got people to preregister their expectations, and even folks who are extremely in-the-know about AI coding abilities still failed to predict this result. Your *vibes* are not reliable indicators of productivity effects.

@chargoddard Any chance you're looking for a coauthor in future work? I want to write a survey paper explaining why while jobs extremely similar to mine will be easily automatable, my own skillset is unique and special and require a human touch.
