Early Internet and early mobile were nothing like today’s crypto. The value was obvious to everyone. Criticism were more of the variety of ‘promises not fulfilled yet’ not ‘this whole enterprise is a Ponzi scheme.’

After watching "Line Goes Up" - a 2+ hour deep dive into crypto and NFTs, my takeaway is that it's even more transparently a scam than I realized. Additionally I didn't realize it's also very much a cult with indoctrination culture, shunning, in group language and lots more.
