You know what makes me fucking sick about the western political class, the majority of the Arab world and western media? It's the fact that they watched Israeli forces attack the casket of a journalist whom they shot. What kind of demonic fucking feral cunts do that? This was a perfect example of them, showing who they are. Yet the afore-mentioned had no condemnation of this act, calling it a "scuffle". The murder of Shireen Abu Akleh and the attacking of her funeral was one of so many instants in the history of Israel's vile behaviour and attitudes against humanity. It's our moral duty to despise this rogue nation of murderers, thieves, rapists and pederasts.

Police murdering a 1-year-old baby is VIOLENCE. Israel genociding 100,000 Palestinians is VIOLENCE. US imperialism killing 36 million people since WW2 is VIOLENCE. US sanctions killing 38 million people since 1971 is VIOLENCE. We live in a world that ignores, normalizes, and even excuses the violence of capitalism, imperialism, and Zionism while demonizing the people who have the courage to fight back against these violent systems of oppression.

SHE FILMED THE TRUTH INSIDE BRITISH CLASSROOMS In 2005 science teacher Alex Dolan strapped on a hidden camera and walked into 4 schools in Leeds and London. What she filmed was not shocking to anyone who has ever set foot in a British secondary school. Pupils fighting on desks. Kids swearing in teachers faces. Staff shuffling the worst behaved pupils out of the building the moment Ofsted @Ofstednews turned up to inspect. @Channel4 aired the footage as Undercover Teacher, part of the Dispatches @C4Dispatches strand. Leeds City Council went to the High Court to try to block it. A judge refused the injunction and ruled the programme served the public interest. Watching a school fake its way through an inspection turns out to be exactly the kind of thing the public has an interest in. So naturally the system did what it does best. It went after the person who filmed the problem instead of the problem itself. The General Teaching Council spent 4 years building a case against Dolan. In March 2009 it found her guilty of unacceptable professional conduct for breaching the trust of the pupils she filmed. Not the staff accused of hiding disruptive kids from inspectors. Not the school that burned through 26 supply teachers in a single year. Her. She was suspended from teaching for 12 months. Channel 4's own deputy head of news at the time said publicly it was wrong to punish a whistleblower for this kind of work and that the messenger should not be shot. Press Gazette @pressgazette called the ruling a sad day for journalism. That was generous. Dolan left teaching and became a weather presenter for BBC Look East, which is either the most British redemption arc going or proof that forecasting rain is safer than forecasting institutional failure. A police officer walked up the driveway of a house in a Houston suburb, pushed a woman against the garage door, and shot her son in the chest when he got up to object. It was his own driveway. It was his own mother. Robbie Tolan is the nephew of a Major League Baseball player. The car was his. Bellaire, Texas, 31 December 2008, around two in the morning. Robbie Tolan, 23, and his cousin had just got home from a late trip out. An officer ran the plate and typed a digit wrong. The system returned the car as stolen. It was not. It was Robbie Tolan's car, parked in front of the house he lived in with his parents. Officers ordered the two young men to the ground in the front garden. Tolan's parents came out in their night clothes and told the police this was their house, their son, their car. Sergeant Jeffrey Cotton arrived. He took hold of Marian Tolan and pushed her against the garage door. Robbie, on the ground, pushed himself up to object to his mother being handled. Cotton shot him three times from about fifteen or twenty feet. One bullet went through his lung and lodged near his liver. He survived. The bullet is still in him. His baseball career — he had been a prospect in the Washington Nationals system — was over. Cotton was charged with aggravated assault. In 2010 a jury acquitted him. The civil case went all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States, which in 2014 ruled unanimously in Tolan's favour on qualified immunity — holding that the lower courts had improperly weighed the facts in the officer's favour. *Tolan v. Cotton* is now a standard citation. He was in his own driveway. His parents were on their own porch. His father is Bobby Tolan, who played in the World Series. None of it counted, because somebody typed a letter wrong and then a sergeant did not like being told whose house it was. Robbie Tolan was shot by a police officer in his own driveway after a mistaken license-plate entry led police to believe his car was stolen. When he tried to protect his mother, he was shot three times. He survived, but his baseball career was over. The officer was acquitted. His family was home. His car was his own. And one mistake changed his life forever.
