Last time I checked - Jesus told us to love those enemies of ours…

Being at the dome watching #13 play was one of the most electric experiences in sport. Today is such an awful day. My heart goes out to Johnny Gaudreau and his family - on a day when they were supposed to be celebrating 💔 @NHLFlames

@davedubbin85 Pro scouting hasn’t been scrutinized by the org as much as it should. 🔥 take on this one. So many flopped trades!

@CofRedCentral Not sure what to be more depressed about. Johnny’s being mislabelled, or the fact that there are no other flames on any of these lists….but it’s ok…..cuz “once you’re in the playoffs! Anything’s possible” 🤦🏻‍♂️

A church culture that is against ordaining women, yet expects pastors' wives to serve practically full-time in ministry without any additional renumeration... ...is exploiting women for free pastoral care. Ordain and pay women if you expect them to do pastoral-level work.

@benshapiro Imagine being so insecure that you disregard a film celebrating womanhood and dismantling patriarchy as “woke flaming garbage” 😬

@itchynscratchys @auddiejames A week in advance of free agency. I mentioned that earlier in the thread. He needed to do what most GMs do and not put something like that in the hands of the player. I would certainly hope he wouldn’t do that again 😂

@itchynscratchys @auddiejames This is why he should have set an internal deadline a week in advance. Avoid this whole mess & get some assets via trade. Youre a GM of a multimillion $ org - act like it. When you hold a title like that, you dont get to throw your hands in the air & say “I didnt see that coming”

@itchynscratchys @auddiejames No doubt there would have been outcry - but just like Adam Fox, the heat would have been on Johnny and not on Tre where it should be.

@auddiejames He DID lose him for nothing! As a GM, you set an internal deadline with your player (let’s say a week before FA). Whatever the players chooses by that deadline is what stands no matter what. Its not all that hard to blame Tre for that entire situation. Bad asset management.

@Fan960Steinberg Just drop a sticky note on his desk that reads: Ruzicka-Lindholm-Toffoli Dube-Kadri-Huberdeau Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman Pelletier-Lewis/Lucic-Duehr See what happens??

@CofRedCentral For now: Dube-Kadri-Huberdeau Ruzicka-Lindholm-Toffoli Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman Pelletier-Lewis/Duehr-Lucic Sutter won’t stop rotating 4 lines - this finds the most balance IMO. Swap Pelletier & Ruzicka if those lines don’t work.

@RingOfFireCGY A team I expected to have more of a respectable response to having their two best players abandon them.

This! I can’t believe the reluctancy to call up young guys. Especially when you have Phillips literally SHOWING YOU that you have someone ready to go.

3. I want to see one or two of Pelletier, Phillips, Zary called up to see if they can play before Tre goes out and spends 1st and 2nd round picks on veteran players who are only going to play half a season in Calgary. Don’t waste picks until you know if your prospects can play.

@InTheDomePod Is EVERYONE an option? Transition game is non existent. Lucky bounces & goaltending is why this team can ever win a game. The lines don’t work. We need more SKILL up front. Its astonishing sutter hasn’t tried: 10-28-91 20-11-88 Call up Phillips and figure out the rest. #flames

@spittinchiclets I can’t stand it when people don’t hold the guy who got hit to the same standard. McDavid moves at the last second to avoid a big hit he lined himself up for. He got clipped because of his own bad decisions. This isn’t on edler. If it is - mcdavid should be suspended as well.
