@EB5979957268746 @PBakera31938 @HillelNeuer @UNLazzarini @UNRWA @UNRWAusa Do you actually think UNRWA had any idea who was in the massive refugee camps at the time? It’s not like they held a daily roll call

@warren_brandow @MouthyOldBat The global Total Fertility Rate for 2024 was 2.4 which is above replacement level fertility rates. I.e the population is still growing. You are entitled to your own opinions but at least make them informed ones. Source:UN world population data.

@warren_brandow You have a lot in common with the Taliban if that’s your list of women’s rights

@technologylaura “This job involves a little overtime. A little each night and a little each weekend.” About 6 hours on a Sunday and a few hours each weeknight

@buffguy716 @OBrienSci And by several hours do you mean 20 extra hours a week for 40 weeks a year? Every year?

@MissedtheFence @FixingEducation Do you think that’s about class size though? Would adding an extra 25 students fix the issue or compound it?

@Jacquel76071253 @RogersHistory You mean like resigning which is what many teachers have done? I’d much rather cover a colleague for a day than set work for their classes for 6 months because they quit and you can’t find a replacement teacher.

@ONeillBonn @ejh666 @DrDemography And what do you think of when you consider the coalition governments that allowed housing prices to rise exponentially for their own gain

@93tilinfint1 @RobynAMilne @DrDemography So your problem is someone lifting themselves out of poverty rather than someone who never experienced it in the first place?

@CloudKickOff @FixingEducation Sure but who are these magical people creating catch up resources in schools that are tailored to individual learning? The better question is why aren’t schools adequately resourced to be able to support students who need additional support due to illness or absence?

@RosemariaC97026 @tinateaspoon80 @RogersHistory And as a teacher it’s absolutely awesome finishing work at 9pm knowing you need to drive home, get ready for the next full day of teaching, and be back at your desk by 8am the next day. Very conducive to the actual job of teaching children well.

@RogersHistory The phone calls thing gets me. Playing phone tag with parents who openly tell me not to call them again, or who want to argue about why their child should not have consequences for their behaviour. Total timesink when they are not receptive

@Anncaro11 @RogersHistory Yes for simple incidents, but when it gets to needing multiple student statements and untangling a complex issue the logging shouldn’t be the responsibility of the classroom teacher. Logging a phone breach is 30 seconds, I’ve had other incidents that took hours to resolve.
