Being 40, still working in the music industry, on both the business & creative side, feels surreal. Seeing projects I started hit 10+ anniversaries or album that I played on turn 20, while still getting cuts & managing artists really gives one a lot of perspective & gratitude.

I just surpassed 5 million a month on Spotify for the first time for some reason and idk why and I’m grateful
I played 2 of @ConanOBrien ‘s shows - 1st, Late Night, a dream for me, then we did a few shows of his at @TBSNetwork. Each time the backstage was the most comfortable & welcoming of all the late night gigs, and he shook each of our hands after we played.
Some advice for any Artist in music : This is your ONLY career, so guard it with your life.
Most ppl aren’t giving you a hard time on purpose .. their HAVING a hard time and it spilling over . Tryna remind myself .
Allowing your mood to always dictate your priorities and decisions isn’t being authentic, it’s chaos.
