Interesting info-graphic. I would quibble with some of the numbers (EG smallpox killed 300-500 million people between 1900-1980 alone) but this is a helpful visual to remind us that the next pandemic is always what and when—not ever “if”. Sigh. visualcapitalist.com/history-of-pan…

My stance was "doing up-front design radically improved our product", and Ron asked why we weren't designing before then. This is a complicated question. The short answer is: we thought we were doing good design, and we were wrong. It was mainstream, but not good.

I find it really enjoyable to: ➕ Write out all the function signatures with no implementation ➕ Then add comments about what each function will do ➕ And finally, have smooth frictionless implementation because you've already answered all the questions during previous steps

laptop has been 'buzzing' for a while, some vibration I could feel. turns out, it would only 'buzz' when it was charging, so I measured with a multimeter- was getting 5v AC ⚡️to the case! cleaned the charging port with alcohol- resolved

#Python 2.7 reaches end-of-life at the end of 2019. Afterwards, the interpreter will not get updates -- no bugfixes, no security fixes, nothing. In the interim, the Python ecosystem is abandoning 2.7 support. python3statement.org Don't wait to switch to Python 3.
