@ArenaRegulars Notable details: • No utility lands. We don't have time for that, and we draw enough cards that we don't need manasinks • Every threat draws cards • Kaito is effing busted • Curiosity probably gonna get the axe

Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results is the definition of the scientific method.

@eleijon I moved to Toronto on December 30, 2013 and officially flipped the balance of which city was cooler.

@eleijon 2013 was my last year in Montreal and the first time I'd been single for 4 years, so I had one of the best summers of my life that year. So much MDMA and so much sex. I was all by myself in that gargantuan apartment on St. Joseph with the rooftop, working in the biggest ad agency

@CANADALAND Jesse's analogies of how Canada follows the US are more than a little overwrought. Trudeau is a response to Trudeau Sr. or maybe Macron at a stretch. Pollievre is an echo of Preston Manning and Harper. And comparing The Rebel to Fox is like comparing a handmade fanzine to the BBC

@David_Moscrop I listened to a podcast that was saying the way trees are planted in monocultures in non-optimal landmasses wasn't actually that great for the climate. But I have no idea whatsoever myself. The single use plastics thing is great.

@CANADALAND @JaskaranSandhu_ I support Canadaland because Jesse calls it "Ski boarding", and he presumably calls the other one "wheelie boards" with the H sound before the W sound. Hweelieboards. Great episode - thanks for the excellent explanation of the Sikh / Khalistan stuff. I was so confused before this

@KristinRaworth People being afraid of Olivia Chow, who is a bland centrist policy wonk almost to a fault, famously, is fairly silly. Even if you don't like her, how do you get past "darn" and all the way into "oh noooooo!"?

@SaffronOlive While this card hasn't seen play in decades, it set the stage for so much mindnumbimg durdle in the history of the game.

@nytimes @bartona104 So I guess we're skipping over the fact that it was a neo-nazi cocaine ring front for decades and everyone knew about it?

@PierrePoilievre This whole "elites" angle doesn't make any sense. You've been a rich tax-funded MP your entire adult life. Your comms people need to come up with a different narrative.

@TimLeMule @DavidZipper @Slate I sometimes do the blink blink with my high beams to let someone know their beams are on, then they blink me back and I realize those were their normal lights, and then the next day I have radiation burns all over my face from a split second exposure to their actual high beams.

@PierrePoilievre What are you even talking about? Every single dollar you've ever earned was tax money. Unless you're planning to return all the tax money you got, none of this anti-tax rhetoric makes any sense at all.
