@Detroit4lyfe You should have brought up how bad the Lions have been since Saint hit the Trump dance during Commanders game. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

@andrewjhsports @klbaum1077 @cmccosky Yea, I hear you. For sure he was tagged on the helmet. I just have yet to see anything definitive that shows he was tagged before his hand touched the base because, again, it's unclear when his sliding mitt hit it.

@andrewjhsports @klbaum1077 @cmccosky If there's a clear clip that clearly shows when he touches the bag (vs when he's not quite there yet), that would be news to me. I never saw any angle that showed, definitely, when his sliding mitt hit the bag.

@klbaum1077 @cmccosky I think you're *probably* right but I never saw an angle that showed that you are *certainly* right. His sliding mitt could have been touching the bag all along, for instance. And the standard for reversals is not supposed to be *probably*

@Lynn_Henning And it has nothing to do with the nominee and everything to do with fact that they simply didn’t like what would be the result so they did away with the only precedent we’ve ever known on purely, PURELY, partisanship grounds

@Lynn_Henning Of many, many options to choose from, this — a refusal to proceed with Garland’s nomination — did, by far, the most damage in terms of my view of republicans in congress

@tyschalter Here’s the thing: it was a fumble for sure. But it was ruled incomplete on the field and the ball wasn’t clearly recovered at all (or, if you think it was, it was recovered many seconds after the pass was already ruled incomplete). How can that be Bills’ ball?

@dperkinsed The suggestion at the bottom is for REvaccination. Again, seems consistent with the CDC and inconsistent with your position. “Some experts” is just noise. Go with the clear consensus rather than latching on to the stray opinion or two that just so happens to match your priors

@dperkinsed How is this different than what the CDC recommends? Seems consistent with the CDC and inconsistent with your “expert” opinion

@dperkinsed I’m just fascinated by the “I’m smarter than the experts” undercurrent of all of these positions. Like where does that bizarre confidence come from? Dunning-Kruger effect

@dperkinsed If this were true (at a meaningful level), don’t you think it would be the biggest news story of all time given how strongly it is recommended by the gov and doctors alike? The CDC still recommends it for everyone over 6 mo old. But you, apparently, know better than they do

@dperkinsed @DrJBhattacharya Here’s the thing: you aren’t qualified to follow the evidence you see (assuming you’re not a medical expert). That’s the problem.

@dperkinsed @DrJBhattacharya If you think you know better than the public health consensus, by all means, live your life that way. Your call. Your risk. What’s the opposite of imposter syndrome? Me and my 7 year old? We’ll be happily and healthily vaxxed because, you know, that’s the public health consensus

@dperkinsed @DrJBhattacharya Listen… you can tell yourself that there isn’t consensus in order to support your feelings but that doesn’t make it true. Again, the very reason why he is famous is BECAUSE there is consensus and he goes against it

@dperkinsed @DrJBhattacharya The quotes I included are quotes from experts within the Wiki page. It’s not Wiki commentary. Dangerous according to medical community consensus. Herd immunity while also trying to protect vulnerable ppl. Read up, trust expert consensus, don’t reward partisan contrarianists

@dperkinsed @DrJBhattacharya Read his Wikipedia page. I just tried to copy and paste from there but too many characters to tweet. “Unethical” “infeasible” “fringe” “statistical and methodological errors” “lack of disclosure of conflicts” “scientifically and ethically problematic” “motivated… by ideology”

@dperkinsed @DrJBhattacharya The very reason why he is nationally famous is that his viewpoints on Covid policies are so dangerous and so far from the medical community’s consensus. That should be an enormous red flag to anyone evaluating his positions.
