@shamingjezebel @Cantor_Omen @dontdelay @MartinSLewis Everyone gets £325k + £175k primary residence allowance. This passes to a spouse upon death, so most people can leave £1m. Having kids doesn't make a difference.

@MADNo1 @MartinSLewis Birmingham for me. If I had the same wage anywhere near London I'd have much less saved as housing is so much more expensive.

@Carpervert My grandad had a Sierra that was K153 XOC, so I'd guess they were bought from the same dealer at a similar time? Is that how the old regs worked?

REPORTER: Is this unfair to people who paid their student loans or chose not to take out loans? BIDEN: Is it fair to people who, in fact, do not own multi-billion-dollar businesses if they see one of these guys getting all the tax breaks? Is that fair? What do you think?

In 1888, a woman showed the world how to drive. After financing her husband Karl’s motorcar, Bertha Benz was determined to get it on the road despite a weak public reception. So one morning, while Karl was asleep, she left him a note and took an historic drive.

@mvaug10087 @BBCr4today @bbcnickrobinson Median is average. Probably a more useful average than mean in this context. Which are you being?

@nxwestmidlands trying to buy a group daysaver on the app and on the 1st attempt it said it hadn't worked, subsequently attempts I keep getting this error message. My details are correct, but the "Purchase already succeed" message is confusing. Is it saying it has worked?

The BBC are setting up shortwave radio frequencies for the people of Ukraine to keep informed with the news as their TV towers are bombed and internet services attacked. You don’t get that with a Netflix subscription.

@sniffpetrol VW (as all manufacturers) do have a more scientific method for stone chip testing. I used to do it for an independent test house, on various bits found near the front of cars. Counting the number of chips of each size could get a little tedious...

@thatdbemethatd @paulsm77 @Smith710769831 @MartinSLewis Everyone I know is better off for it. But, as I, presumably like you, don't know everyone, I wouldn't be so quick to rebut someone's claim to the contrary.

@daisiemaez alone, I'd always assumed that everyone who wasn't a "threat" would do such things for fear of being attacked, so I do somewhat understand what it is to not feel safe walking home alone.

@daisiemaez There is a point here Daisie, because it could make some people (women) crippled with fear of going out. Not that it's better, but a man is more likely to be murdered by someone they don't know in the street that a woman. And both are more likely to be murdered by a partner.

@daisiemaez I agree the issue here isn't men's mental health though. Whilst the idea that a woman might fear me when out on the street makes me sad, I don't feel like I'm being accused, or that anyone is saying it is all men. And as someone who who does all the "avoidance" things when out
