Dear socialist friend, Nothing is stopping you. If collective ownership works so much better, you can prove it by next Tuesday. Pool your savings with your comrades. Elect a planning committee. Run a bakery, a farm, a repair shop – shared ownership, equal pay, decisions by vote. All of it is fully legal, today, everywhere in the West. No revolution needed. And yet. You want the workers to seize the factories – but you won’t open a food truck with three people from your group chat. You demand collective housing – but you won’t sign a joint lease with people who agree with you about everything. People have tried voluntary socialism for two hundred years. The communes keep dissolving – the members simply walk out. The only socialist countries that lasted were the ones that locked the borders. That’s the whole story. Where leaving is allowed, everyone leaves. Socialism only survives where leaving is banned. The people voted – on foot. Just do it. Or admit that "collective" was always just a word for other people’s property.

I’ve just finished reading Gad Saad’s book Suicidal Empathy. It ranks, along with Chris Rufo’s America’s Cultural Revolution: How the Radical Left Conquered Everything and Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay’s Cynical Theories, as the best take-down of the lunacy at the heart of the wokeist philosophy. For Saad, empathy—in itself a perfectly decent trait—has become so grossly exaggerated that it threatens truth, reality, and justice. Cases in point abound: so they won’t feel bad about themselves, we’ll allow biological men to compete in women’s sports and crush the dreams of thousands of young women; so as not to undermine the self-esteem of minorities, we will permit unqualified candidates to have positions in universities and the corporate world; so that everyone might feel included, we will characterize the meritocracy as “white privilege,” etc. As I was making my way through Saad’s book, I kept remarking the sharp distinction between empathy and love. To empathize is to enter profoundly into the experience of another and to endeavor not to hurt that person’s feelings. But to love is, as Thomas Aquinas taught, “to will the good of the other.” As I said, in itself and all things being equal, empathy is a good thing. But it is not the same as love, which, depending on circumstances, can very much involve hurting someone’s feelings. When a professor gives a student a “C” as an honest reflection of his work, he might well be insulting him, but he’s also telling him the truth and perhaps even urging him to try harder. When, in the Confessional, a priest tells a murderer to turn himself in to the police, he’s undoubtedly making that person’s life more uncomfortable, but he’s also willing the man’s good. Any decent parent knows that showing real love for her children means engendering all kinds of bad feelings in them. In light of this distinction, we can understand why Jesus didn’t say, “have empathy for one another,” but rather “love one another.” And why St. John the Evangelist didn’t say, “God is empathy,” but rather “God is love.” It occurred to me as I was reading Saad’s book that one reason Wokeism has seized the consciousness of so many in the West is that Christianity has faded as a cultural force and Christians themselves have forgotten what stands at the heart of their faith.

Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration. More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

A young New Hampshire Democrat representative, 22 year old Jonah Wheeler (who is black), was accused of of discrimination by fellow Democrats for standing up for women's rights and keeping transgender "women" out of their restrooms and other spaces. His Democrat colleagues got up and walked out while he was giving his speech. I have to give credit where credit is due, even if it is from a Democrat. That was a great speech Jonah and I agree with you 100%. Thank you for protecting our women.

Incredible note from Jared Woodard, the Head of Global Research at Bank of America: He says the risks of Trump and Bessent’s plan are worth it, status quo is unsustainable.

This, from 2015, is very much worth reading today. city-journal.org/article/the-sc…

Panic! Government will shut down if Congress doesn't pass a funding bill! That's how most media cover it. But during previous shut downs, what terrible things happened? None! Life went on. Government demonstrated how needless most of it is. I made this video about that:

This is so crazy

@elonmusk @USGAO The White House: We’re unable to track $6.2 billion dollars sent to Ukraine. California: We’re unable to track $24 billion dollars spent to combat homelessness. The Pentagon: We’re unable to track $2.3 trillion dollars of military spending. The U.S. Treasury: We’re unable to

my european mind cannot comprehend americans complaining about healthcare. don’t they realize the so-called “free healthcare” in europe is a massive scam you pay for with your own money? sure, you don’t have insurance premiums, but you’re hit with a 60% tax rate to fund an overburdened, inefficient system that fails at even basic care.

🚨 #BREAKING: The House COVID Committee has released its final report after a 2-year investigation. MAJOR FINDINGS: - The NIH funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab. - The Constitution can't be suspended in times of crisis. - COVID emerging from a lab leak is "not a conspiracy theory." - EcoHealth and Dr. Peter Daszak should "never again" receive taxpayer funds. - Public health officials have lost the trust of the people. - Trump's Operation Warp Speed was a success. - The COVID response was "rampant" with fraud, waste and abuse. - "The prescription cannot be worse than the disease," lockdowns had horrific consequences.

@Be_Believing Why can’t these guys sing at the Super Bowl??

America, your new HHS Secretary RFK Jr. has a message for you about our food This is the single most important video on the internet right now We must stop poisoning ourselves & our children. Soon this will be illegal. Can’t happen fast enough Thank God

Modern Democrats would call 1995 Bill Clinton a “right wing extremist” for having common sense positions on illegal immigration. The Republican Party has become the party of common sense.

NEW: @ElonMusk unconfidently says “I'll do my best” before delivering one of the best answers about the broken education system that you'll ever hear. 1. “Educational scores have gone downhill dramatically since the creation of the Department of Education, which doesn't make any sense.” 2. “If you're going to create a department and spend a bunch of money, you should expect things to get better, not worse.” 3. “The Department of Education at the federal level has pushed all sorts of propaganda on kids that has nothing to do with useful skills. 4. “Schools should be focused on teaching kids about the world and teaching them useful skills so that, when they graduate, they can do something useful. That's the whole point.” 5. With respect to college, he said kids will often “spend four years in college, not learn anything useful, and be saddled with a ton of debt. And what's the point of that? It doesn't make any sense.”

The idea of someone like her becoming the first woman president is such an insult to the many accomplished and talented women in our country.

Yep.

🚨ELON MUSK: "It's pretty wild that a tiny tax on tea started the revolution and now we get the living daylights taxed out of us and theres no revolution. You get taxed on what you earned, you get taxed on what you buy, and you get taxed on what you own. Taxes, taxes, taxes, and what does it get spent on? That's why we need to reduce the size of government."

Good rule of thumb: those who frequently use the word “disinformation” are the ones most likely to be pushing it

Vote against the machine!
