@shannonrwatts I still admire a lot about Oprah, but I have been disappointed with these types of things. She has done thousands of good things -- far more than I will do in this lifetime, but yeah, I haven't loved this into some obliviousness at times to the realities of people's woes.

@shannonrwatts Somewhere along the way Oprah fell off the cliff into being an often tone deaf privileged person. Hard to know when this happened. I 1st noticed it during her lockdown Thanksgiving where she posted about Gail/other guests quarantining in a guest house for 3 days before testing

@shannonrwatts (2of3)Then everyone got to hang out for a few days while being served a delicious chef prepared (complete with menu) Thanksgiving meal plus high end meals/snacks. She has continued in this vein over the last few years. Her Maui hurricane response added some fuel to this fire.
