@nytimes Context on the massive loss in Southwest Louisiana: not really accurate to attribute it to Covid. SWLA was hit by two hurricanes (incl Cat 4 Laura) between Aug-Oct 2020, a major freeze in Feb 2021, & a major flood in May 2021.

People like @mackenziescott are lights in this world. Her donation to the @UnitedWaySWLA will lift up my community, and I know the other 383 orgs she supported feel the same. mackenzie-scott.medium.com/384-ways-to-he…

Masks are an excellent way to lip sync to the grocery store music without shame. Especially when said music is @backstreetboys. Solid selection, @Albertsons.

Sports Illustrated really shows what it’s like in #LakeCharles a month after #HurricaneLaura. We did not dodge a bullet. But if you want to #findthehelpers, look in LC. #SWLAproud @McNeese si.com/college/2020/0…

My fam is safe. #HurricaneLaura #PSA I already see posts to @venmo or @PayPal individuals for relief efforts. PLS DON’T GIVE $ TO SOMEONE YOU DON’T KNOW. #LakeCharles has been thru this, & scams will come. Focus on bona fide orgs. Local arms of @CCharitiesUSA are one good option.

We did our part. Jalapeño poppers w/ #Louisiana teal and #crawfish bread for #LSUvsCLEM. And, of course, teaching the kiddos to say #GeauxTigers.

Hype video for tonight’s NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. What many don’t know is @LSUfootball’s head coach @Coach_EdOrgeron was my defensive line coach and early mentor at University of Miami 🙌🏾 He taught me a lot - lessons that I’d finally understand years later as a man. #LetsGeaux
