@SEA_labor @DHSgov @Genna_Douglas @acaldwellwsj One by one the doors will close of small family businesses without seasonal help. Try and get that same customer service and care when there's only big box stores left with automated checkout and no employees. Even then, ironically there will be a labor shortage for seasonal jobs

I hear all the time, why is there a need for the #H2B program in times of high unemployment? The simple answer is, you cannot force someone to work who does not want to. Employers have gone to exhaustive efforts to recruit Americans affected by COVID-19 but few apply. Tragic!

Exactly.However there isn’t much of a difference if someone claims to be pro-h2-b on paper or with words then does nothing to improve anything. MO=the show me state. Show us your support by giving us a long term and legal option that works. Not leave us guessing every year.

I’m sick of the stigma that we don’t do EVERYTHING in our power to hire Americans first. We wouldn’t use the expensive program if we could find people. It’s complete bs. The whole reason we want a LEGAL labor force is bc we are AMERICA 1st #saveh2b

This assumes that we don’t already examine that, we do. Hard labor, outdoors in extreme conditions, and the fact it’s Temporary are the top reasons ppl won’t apply. We want a legal workforce. There are laws to do that, the govt should allow us to follow their laws. #saveh2b

H2b is by design American 1st. I think a returning worker exemption makes sense, I think e-verify is fine too, and huge penalties for hiring illegals. I would love to hire 29 Americans tomorrow, problem is they don’t apply! If Americans don’t want these jobs why not allow temp.
