This reminds me of that time a bunch of Silicon Valley pilots and I flew from Palo Alto to Sacramento to visit the Norcal Tracon a few years ago. They mentioned that the new radar software had to be rebooted every night to "keep it fresh". We all knew what it meant. 🚰

This sheds some light on the crash and could point to one of the crew members but that exchange is odd... Sad part is the engines were spooling back up after they switched the fuel back on but there was not enough time.
