My late parents always voted (in local, provincial and federal elections), while knowing full-well that their votes would cancel each other out (mom a liberal, dad a conservative) - please take the time to vote!

Met a very enthusiastic pup on the walk home from the grocery store and discovered that my son now classifies dogs as "worker" dogs (not to be petted) and "petter" dogs

Holds for parents too - hate to think of how many times I adjusted my son's environment to avoid discomfort (his and mine). So much more success comes from simply allowing him to experience the full range of life, even the bad bits, rather than dashing ahead smoothing his path.
