I help out with tax prep for family members. This year I helped them save $200+ on basic taxes (1099s and stock sales) by switching from TurboTax to FreeTaxUSA TurboTax is a clickbait product pushing not needed “upgrades”. FreeTaxUSA was simpler, better AND cheaper/free.
@stevesi Surface RT had so much potential as a personal device! ♥️ Could its OS have been under the WP8++ umbrella? Having touch forward Win8 on laptop/desktop PCs without touch is what caused user pain and challenges. I wonder if having two distinct OS offerings would have been better.
@JenMsft There will be more than 5 billion people in the world with a smartphone. Countries like India & China are increasingly cashless for small denomination payments.
@stevesi Agreed. Also, Netflix ( and the other streaming providers) have increased access - discovery and likely actual consumption - to high quality content from around the world through more subtitle and alternate language coverage. Gives one appreciation of how similar people are.
