What staggers me is that some countries have looked-and are looking- at the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and seeing it as a role model, rather than a lighthouse, warning of disaster. This is when ideology trumps reason or evidence, as it has done in Scotland.

That would suggest that MMC on, say, Castel Hospital site would be lower than 9-10. Repurpose Frossard House site. Massive opportunities there.

Caleb is coming to the end of his time at @Eliz_Coll . I expect he will miss it and it will be a part of his life forever. Now he welcomes new potential students who may be about to start their adventure in September.

@advocategreen1 @oldfarmhorace The Labour Party has been divided into socialists & pragmatists for at least eighty years. Blair was in the latter grouping rather than being 'a Tory in all but name'. Starmer is following in the footsteps of the only electorally successful Labour leaders since WWII.
@matt_fallaize @advocategreen1 And, I think, made a big difference to the outcome of the election. Maybe only circa 300 in attendance but they all went home and spoke to friends and family over the next couple of days.

Rather, hustings enabled at least one assessment of how candidates engaged with & related to others & their ideas in quasi-debate & consensus (or not!) However, under our current IWV system there is virtually no opportunity to witness this
@matt_fallaize That is very similar to my first experience in 2012. It felt important and a real test. Nowhere to hide. Very good for the electors.
It is 12 years to the day since I took part in my 1st hustings for Castel election in 2012. The experience was v much a right of passage & I'm still non-plussed by the fact people can now get elected without going through that sort of robust introduction to local politics.
