#SAFvAUS A win tonight would be as big, if not bigger, than last week's first-in-62-year win at Ellis Park. Excluding the Lions, only two teams have EVER, in 134 years, won back-to-back Tests in & against South Africa in the same year. Australia 1963 New Zealand 1996

In a combined career span of almost 28 years and an aggregate of 100 caps, James O'Connor and Will Skelton have NEVER started a Test together. It is 14 years 3 days since JO'C last played a Test in SAF WS has played two just Tests v SAF & only one (2023) in SAF #SAFvAUS

JO'C will win his 65th cap v SAF. He debuted in Match #488 v ITA. 16y 281d later @wallabies will play their 215th Test since that debut, i.e., JO'C has 'missed' 150 Tests. Just two players - A-W Jones (170) & S Whitelock (153) - have played 150 let alone missed 150. #SAFvAUS

Last night was just the 27th match in the 30yr pro era (367 internationals) that the @wallabies have lost after leading at HT. It was also the 3rd in the last 10 of those 367 that a HT lead was surrendered. We've won 153 of the 186 we've led & lost 113 of the 155 we've trailed

Nick Champion de Crespigny is set to become Wallaby #991. He will also become the 78th Wallaby to make his Test debut v. Lions. 52 of the current 77 made their debuts in either 1899 or 1904, i.e. just 25 over the last 121 years. #AUSvLIO

In 1930 New South Wales thumped the Lions by 28-3 at the SCG. Using 2025 scoring values the final result would have been 40-3 and that is their second largest loss ever.

Anatomy of a “NO” try. Both JYD and FD join the mall IN FRONT of JN, i.e., illegally blocking, to whom they are meant to bind. As the maul rolls to the right both FD & JYD end up directly ahead of JN and drive over the line in front of him to enable the try. So wrong. Doleman ❌
