Twitter hasn’t heard the story of how I, an SUV owning EMT, became the safe streets advocate I am today. 🧵 I became an EMT in late 2018. I owned and drove an SUV, and was pretty ambivalent about infrastructure and safe streets (sometimes maybe even skeptical).

There are a lot of women's hockey players going through something incredibly difficult right now. Many sacrificed more than we'll ever know to build the PHF. Some were rookies who signed contracts for a living wage out of college. I'm thinking of all of them right now.
