A good relationship with a great physical therapist is way more important than having a relationship with an orthopedic…. In fact, a good physical therapist most times should be your first appointment post injury outside of a traumatic issue.

Timed box jumps, Olympic lifts, med ball throws and running random distances all in the same workout is fine (I guess) for someone who wants to be fatigued from training. If you’re an athlete, this type of training won’t bring you any sort of meaningful adaptations.

This systematic review and meta-analysis finds that combined aerobic and muscle strength training is likely to have greater effects on cardiorespiratory fitness and body composition than aerobic training alone in patients with coronary artery disease.
