Is this text readable enough? Sometimes we honestly can't tell. Contrast needs a solid background. Over a gradient or an image, we report… preflightdocs.com/checks/wcag-co…

A static analyzer: It cannot run your document — so instead of pretending, we tell you exactly what static analysis cannot see. Dynamic/at-print behavior is out of scope and disclosed, not assumed. #compliance #buildinpublic

An off-brand logo placed as artwork: A palette scan that skips Form XObjects silently passes a placed logo — so ours recurses into them. Colors we cannot resolve (spot/Indexed/JPEG) are disclosed not-evaluable, never a false green. #branding #PDF

An untagged PDF: It cannot be evaluated for reading order — so we mark it not-evaluated instead of claiming it "Supports". WCAG/PDF-UA gates require tags + geometry; absent them, the verdict is not-evaluated. #accessibility #a11y

A PDF you already have: Drop it in and Preflight runs the real engine on it before your mailing partner ever prints it. A genuine defect blocks the send with the reason; partner-applied marks are disclosed not-applicable. #PDF #printing

A batch of letters from a CSV: Each piece gets a contiguous IMb serial so continuity checks can prove none went missing. Bad CSV rows are reported per line and skipped — good rows still create. #DirectMail #printing

A paid letter: Paying is the intent to send — a paid piece auto-submits to print+mail, so it never sits stranded. Idempotent: a retry never double-mails (the partner idempotency key is the order id). #fintech #buildinpublic

New engine version, same template. What changed? Preflight diffs the two runs and shows you — before your customers do. #printing #QC preflightdocs.com/tools/regressi…

Mailing a letter: Preflight verifies the piece is correct and the address is deliverable BEFORE it is printed and mailed. We verify structure + deliverability — not the legal sufficiency of your content. #DirectMail #compliance

An unembedded font: It renders perfectly in your viewer, then substitutes on the RIP — text reflows, glyphs drop. We detect unembedded fonts deterministically; substitution behavior depends on the RIP. #PDF #prepress

Vector-fill ink coverage: Total area coverage can exceed the profile limit (e.g. 340% on a 300% stock) and cause set-off. We measure determinable CMYK vector fills from the content stream; image TAC is disclosed separately. #prepress #printing

Your logo is off-brand and QC never noticed. Placed logos live inside Form XObjects — most palette checks never recurse in. Ours does. #brand #printing preflightdocs.com/brand-complian…

The file that prints your statements: AFP/MO:DCA is the format most teams cannot open outside enterprise software — Preflight parses it in the browser. Parsed natively, no OCR; unreadable structures are reported, not guessed. #printing #fintech

A "300 DPI" image: Effective DPI is pixels ÷ placed size — a "300 DPI" asset scaled up can print at 150. We compute determinable effective DPI from the placement; the printer’s spec always wins. #prepress #PrintDesign

A structurally valid USPS barcode: The IMb bars can decode to a payload whose recomputed 11-bit FCS disagrees with itself. A matching FCS confirms internal consistency — not that the fields are the mailer’s intended data. #USPS #printing

PostScript is a program, not a document. You can not know what a program draws without running it. That is why PDF exists. #PDF #prepress preflightdocs.com/what-is-postsc…
