@J_GallagherAD3 Come on Mr Gallagher, it’s not that simple and you know it. One big reason Sites isn’t built yet is because it can’t store enough cheap water for enough farmers to buy in to the project.

@KatePooleNRDC @CaWaterBoards @GavinNewsom Of course litigation is delaying increasing flows. The water board can’t complete the water rights proceeding to actually require water rights holders to release more water until the new standards get through the courts.

@OTPR_water @TroyJBarnhart @CoraKammeyer They’ve all been. Arnold signed first agreement to remove the dams, Jerry the second, and Newsom might get to actually remove them. Relatively easy to decide remove these old uneconomic dams. Very few actual losers. Bay Delta decisions totally different.

@OTPR_water @TroyJBarnhart @CoraKammeyer Deciding to remove the Klamath dams is a no brainer compared - no farmer impacts, no water supply impacts, cheaper than keeping them, fraction of population, fraction of ag economy. Bay-Delta is at least order of magnitude harder

@OTPR_water @watergrlJD @OTPR CALFED didnt have binding commitments to take water and habitat actions, didnt require fallowing, didnt require water users to pay diversion fees, didnt commit agencies to make decisions with NGOs and water users alike, didn’t identify specific bio and envl targets. Yeah, same.
