@Charles07788205 @CalltoActivism I'd be willing to wager the military aircraft in question had the JetBlue flight on his radar. As for ATC, most of the time the primary radar is filtered out at altitudes where a transponder is required to be used.

@JLivings2 @RealAlexJones Sounds good in theory, but the reality is there are way too many variables involved and I don't believe AI could handle the nuances in both procedures and communications. I think it could aid in Traffic Flow Management as far as general planning for significant weather events.

Can you give us a nibble on some things? 1. There are several systems integrating into safe flying. Are you listening to the actual GA aviators, alongside the bureaucrat top-heavy FAA ? 2. Most folks believe that ATC just says do this. Do that. And all is well as long as all pilots comply. But the dance between "do" and "unable to do" looks to be minimized with a push to modernize. 3. The old systems are costly, and less automated. But part of that was a decision to save money by allowing ground-based equipment to be replaced with sat equipment. It is rare for new folks to explain what will happen to aloft flights, managing fuel, to land thru weather when those signals fails.... Or even admission that those signals DO fail, and that our enemies can make them fail in ways that fool pilots into thinking they are in different places. I don't mean to strike alarm because air travel has been WELL THOUGHT OUT and made resilient, way past lining up white rocks with arrows toward the next big city. But the general aviators who refined what has worked for so long, created a system that works. Replacing that system FAST without being all of the parties to the table, is foolhardy, and will only look good in politics until the real pricetag hits. Keep the systems. Replace the old gear! I do trust @SecDuffy to do this right. But the timeline suggests he is only hearing from those who want whiz-bang, and not those who aviate MANY different aircraft in many different situations and places. Please make GA (General Aviation) feel as supported as the controllers, and you have a winning combination for good changes.

@peaceseller @lzcpt @WestSonRises @elonmusk It's not just the retirement age...they have found it is too difficult for most people to learn the skills necessary after age 31. The age 56 forced retirement is due to the skills and reflexes declining with age .

@truthwins @WY_Wrangler @ProjectConstitu This rule only applies to IFR Aircraft. If one aircraft is operating under VFR (Visual Flight Rules) it doesn't apply.
