@FootballCliches - why do refs still write down bookings and sendings off? With the technology and 4th official keeping a record, this seems wholly unnecessary and often stops a quick restart whilst the ref fumbles for the pencil and pad

@FootballCliches - so what you will with this, Sky Sports’ text updates on Gabriel Jesus’ three goals… what would they say if he got a fourth?!

@FootballCliches - eavesdropping on two mums (who I know have no footy interest, nor their husbands) discussing their third child. A genuine quote from the chat: “it’s so hard as we can’t man-mark anymore but have to go zonal” - any other football phrase with such mainstream use?

Hello @FootballCliches - whilst watching the Spain-Germany 1/4 final, I’m left somewhat confused as to why name are displayed as “ESP” and “GER” respectively - why do they choose the local language for one abbreviation and English for the other?

@FootballCliches, a perfect example of a real football frustration of mine - premature Player Of The Match award. Garnacho received this with Utd 3-2 up with 5 minutes of injury time to play… now he has to accept it having lost? And Palmer misses put despite the hattrick?

On the way home from Spurs-Palace @FootballCliches and 5 live analysis says that Palace were eyeing a “famous win”.. is a 1-0 win at an underperforming Spurs when the game has been pretty slow considering “famous” ?

Wondering @FootballCliches if Richarlison really passes the “can’t stop scoring” test having scored 2 in his previous 39 PL games prior to his 2-game hot streak…

@FootballCliches listening to Paul Hollywood’s Off Menu podcast where he explains his dad was a baker so he grew up “in and around” bread (23:38) … made me wonder what else one could be in and around!

Stormer from Danny Murphy for @FootballCliches on Messi in the Poland-Argentina game after a lovely cross-field pass… “he sees all the pictures”

@VeryHelpers please respond ASAP. Had 3 phone calls for over 1-2 hours with your useless customer service team trying to chase a delivery expected in December 8! Tried the chat function on website, also useless. Can’t take much more of this.
