This is kind of funny, but @RegattaCentral doesn't respect q weights in Accept-Language header. If you have any language other than English configured in your browser, the menus will be in that language. It's always been in Chinese for me, but now the encoding is also broken. ☹️

SMS should have been allowed to die from greedy telcos who saw it as pure income. Instead it's been propped up as fallback for iMessage, but Apple avoids responsibility for the poor state of SMS by making a parallel infrastructure. Then SMS sucking can be blamed on Android. 🙄

A coworker that recently moved to the US asked me why Americans seem to be so obsessed with SMS/MMS group chat when LINE, Messenger, etc., are so much better. I guess it's just because a certain company just wants you to give your phone number to everyone, because ... privacy?

Some company calls me unsolicited and promises, strenuously, in a perfect Southern American accent that they're not a robot. They just want to help me save money! After that exchange, I said one swear word in Hindi and they immediately hung up. A real head-scratcher.

The California ADU law (GOV § 65852.2) says if no action within 60 days of filing a completed application, then application is deemed approved. Cities say they decide when an application is complete, so the time limits don't apply.🧐 @AGRobBonta
