Looking at where outbreaks are occurring, the answer is clear: workplaces. Workplaces are well ahead, followed by education and group/care home settings.
To see it a bit more clearly, let's pull out yesterday's data as an example. 12 cases were linked to travel. A fraction of cases linked to close contact, community spread, and outbreak setting. Outbreak setting, by the way, includes workplaces, plus schools and care homes.
Remember when 200 #COVID19 patients in the ICU was considered the threshold at which things were very bad & would impact non-COVID19 healthcare? ICU total: 851 ICU non-ventilated: 255 ICU+ventilator: 596
1/ Eventually we will see a decoupling of new #COVID19 cases from hospitalizations as population-level immunity grows (through vaccination & recovery from natural infection), especially among those at greatest risk for more severe infections.
