So many beautiful, haunting, core-twisting songs, but I’ve never, not once, listened to this one without crying since I first heard it: youtu.be/uLYmrHBzMqI

1. Shrink yourself so small that you end up actually needing a tiny ladder, and even then you can only reach halfway up the darn things, ultimately requiring renting an industrial power washer which you’ll lose the deposit on when you return it a fraction of its original size.

Apologies for sharing something from this source, but holy hell, is this scientist's message needed, precisely because it's too nuanced to be summed up in a pithy headline (like the one used): nytimes.com/interactive/20…

@keyescore Destroyer has been my favorite artist for 15+ years and you nailed it with your list for @Bandcamp. I might not have thought of "Poison Season" as a deep cut, but it totally is. Will be sending this piece to folks when they ask me where to start with Bejar's work.

Not going to link to the entire piece, because it's pure biotechnological determinism without the slightest self-awareness of how embodied experience impacts human development, but let me just say that if you agree with this, I think you need to spend more time offline.

Doing a major spit take when I learn that a male actor in a comedy movie nearly donned a kilt, which, while traditionally worn by Gaelic men and almost certainly familiar to the film's aging, white audience, is somewhat similar to a skirt, a garment more frequently worn by women.

One of the few things that has been consistently good in my two decades online is Stereogum. Help them keep going here: igg.me/p/save-stereog… via @indiegogo

Just got an email from my alma mater saying they condem racism, so I imagine all of this should go away posthaste.

@Steven_Hyden Absolutely bonkers list in many ways, befitting of Dan's style. "This Night" is my favorite record ever, and you're one of the few crits to champion it, so thanks for that. Have you heard the "Notorious Lightning" EP w/ Frog Eyes? Full band versions of "Your Blues" tracks.
