🚨 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗟 A dangerous Bill before the National Assembly (HB.2659) seeks to create a monopoly over nutrition without protecting indigenous knowledge, traditional food practices, or family-based wisdom. It fails to define “practice of nutrition” yet threatens ordinary people with fines and jail for sharing recipes or food knowledge. ❗️This must not pass. "Take your hands away from that bil, DROP IT!"......Pastor Chris warns. Ladies and gentlemen, the National Assembly has a bill to create a Nutritionist Registration Council with the following: 1. Threat to National Food Sovereignty: The Bill creates an expansive licensing and regulatory monopoly that surrenders vital aspects of Nigeria's food and nutrition systems to a single professional interest group, funded by international organizations, open to international standards (which includes, GMOs, ultraprocessing, non cultural, etc. etc), undermining national control. 2. Criminalizing Indigenous Knowledge: Sections 23, 27, and 28 criminalize the "practice of nutrition" with heavy fines and up to two years in prison. Because the Bill leaves this term undefined, it threatens family food traditions, cultural diets, and community extension work. I hope we know what this means. The Practice of Nutrition is not defined, yet, if you're not a BSc holder, you can't practice nutrition. It will be left to a court to decide if the practice of nutrition involves the local chef who doesn't have a BSc, or the local recipe passed down generations. Nobody owns the right to determine nutrition. Nobody. 3. Usurping Existing Mandates: The proposed Council bypasses established regulatory authorities like the NUC, NBTE, NAFDAC, and SON by asserting unchecked control over educational curricula, institutional accreditation, and national food standards. This means, the proposed council will determine the standard of nutrition, what is right or wrong, control the curriculum on nutrition; the entire body of knowledge on Nutrition, override the University educational structure, 4. Risk of External & Commercial Capture: Section 32 allows the Council to accept unrestricted foreign grants, endowments, and donations without local transparency safeguards. Infact, during the public hearing, a Professor stood up in support of the bill saying, 'we don't even need Federal Government's money- we have foreign donors'. Combined with a closed board dominated by a single professional association, this opens the door to external and industrial influence. 5. Exclusion of Indigenous Custodians: The composition of the Governing Board (Section 5) fails to include any seats for traditional knowledge holders, agroecological practitioners, or community-based food and nutrition advocates, concentrating power solely within a closed professional association and state officials. I'll stop here first. The summary of this, is that Bill Gates and his cronies will legally determine what is good for you to eat. @pshegs

I saw this on the TL and I must share it because it is a commendable one. 250 units of expandable 2-bedroom bungalow with these complimentary facilities makes sense for ₦21M. The fact that it's rent to own makes it more affordable. Nigerians deserve affordable housing. Kudos to Gov. Dapo Abiodun Also, a big thumbs up to my Yewa brother, the Hon. Seven things to do if you need to lose weight. All free. All today. 1. Protein first, starch last, at every meal. Eat your protein first and your rice, yam, potatoes, or other starch last. You will feel full sooner, and your blood sugar will rise less. You can start doing this tonight without changing what you cook. 2. Stop drinking your sugar. Juice, malt, soft drinks, and sweetened yoghurt all count. Liquid sugar goes into your body quickly and does not make you feel as full as food. That is why you can drink one and still eat a full plate afterwards. 3. Do not remove the good oil. You have been trying this for years and it has not worked. Fat helps make a meal satisfying. Remove it completely and you may be hungry again by four o’clock, looking for anything you can eat. 4. Two meals, not six. You have probably heard that you should eat small meals often. But eating all day keeps your body in a fed state for most of the day. Give your meals a proper gap and your body can use what it already has stored. 5. Walk for ten minutes after your biggest meal. Your muscles can take sugar out of your blood when you walk after eating. It does not have to be a workout. Just walk for ten minutes after your biggest meal. 6. Sleep before midnight. One short night can make you hungrier the next day. You may eat more without even planning to. Sleep is not separate from weight. It matters too. 7. Measure your waist, not just your weight. Your weight can change because of water, even when your body is changing. The scale can discourage you and make you want to quit. Your waist measurement can show your progress more clearly over time. That is seven. Now do two.

This was my first response to @aproko_doctor's video on Instagram. Read it till the end: 1. You carry insectidal genes from a bacteria and put it inside maize to make the maize insecticide, and ... the maize is still normal? 2. There is NO HEALTH BASED risk assessment for this action. I have spoken to Nigerian Biosafety Management Agency on this very well, and attended their conferences; the risk assessment they did was based on a 2 Year research that checked yield and other things not health safety. 3. GMOs are pest and herbicide tolerant. This has increased the use of herbicides by over 244% in countries that keep data. 4. Citizens like you and I in countries that keep this data in no 3 above have fined the manufacturers of the Hercibide, which active ingredient is GLYPHOSATE, a known carcinogenic (cancer causing) chemical. In America, Bayer has paid over 12billion dollars to over 100,000 people in out of court settlement because of Cancer. 5. Glyphosate, GMO's evil twin is all over your farms in Nigeria. Peer reviewed research shows some sterile men were found to have high traces of Glyphosate in their semen. 6. Back to GMOs. They are patented technology. Aproko's benefactor, Bill Gates is a major patent holder and promoter of GMOs in Africa. This simply means if he decides not to sell food to you, you're in trouble. You don't know everything he's put inside the seeds. You're eating someone's intellectual property. How cringe. 7. GMOs are programmable seeds. I.e., they can program them to be F2, that means, after they reproduce twice, FARMERS HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE SEED MERCHANTS TO BUY SEED EVERY PLANTING SEASON. 8. Nos 6 and 7 simply means your country can lose their food sovereignty to GMOs. 9. The insectidal GMOs target non target organisms, depleting biodiversity. 10. Russia proscribes GMO cultivators as Terrorists. Bayer, the home country of Glyphosate has banned Glyphosate. Mexico has banned GMOs and Glyphosate. South Africa just reversed their approval of GMO Maize. Many countries are banning this thing because they are finding out THE GMOS cross pollinate with their natural variants, sterilising them. 11. US released a report that China could use GMOs as a bioweapon against them. 12. Aproko Doctor's definition of GMOs is selective breeding which is a technique in Hybridisation. All he said was within the same specie. GMO crosses the specie barrier. The example used at the 7th Biosafety Conference which I attended in person, was that IF YOU WANT A HUMAN BEING TO HAVE HORNS, THEY CAN TAKE THE GENES FROM A COW AND PUT IT INSIDE A HUMAN BEING. As you leave this post, please hear from our DG in @NafdacAgency ; her take on GMOs. This interview was suppressed and almost completely wiped out from the internet:

Aproko Doctor is trending because medical influencer, Chinonso Egemba was accused of selling out to Bill Gates for GMOs money. This comes barely a year after he promoted Ajinomoto claiming it’s safer than salt. Bill Gates GMO’s [Explained] It is an economic liability.
