What we have is a very unstable world. There’s lots, and lots, and lots of Chaos. There’s a huge percentage of that pie that is simply not up to you, yet here you are on the ride. So, at the very least, be here now and do your best to enjoy it.

@themindfulstoic I also sometimes use meditation to enter a deeper state, more in tuned with my intuition. Then I can arrive at higher truths. Do you do something like that?

In the beginning, when we practice meditation, there’s no chasing after concepts, but simply focusing on our breath and embracing silence and resting. And when thoughts or emotions arise, simply embrace them with your breath, and gently let them go.

@themindfulstoic Reminds me of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, but for goal setting, nice idea! I've been thinking a lot lately about the downsides of skipping levels—I'm glad you mentioned it. Most people don't realize that it just doesn't work.
