A writer rearranges ideas and they call it plagiarism. An AI tool rearranges ideas and they call it the future.

You're thinking about editing wrong. Editing is not a cutting exercise—it’s a value-adding exercise. Because even when you’re cutting fluff, redundancy, and wordiness, you’re adding value. And when you remove friction, you add clarity. The reason why you think editing is a scissor-fight is because most editing advice online doesn't come from editors. It comes from guru copywriters who learned (from their favorite bro marketer) to cut 30% before they publish. I don't mind this advice as part of the bigger picture. Because oftentimes, you do need to cut 30% of fluff. But I do mind it as standalone advice. Because it's only a *small part* of the bigger picture. This is why 2 years ago when I started posting on social, I vowed to change how people see editing and editors. And it's why in 3 weeks, I'm releasing an editing course that's going to help you get a 360-degree view of the editing process. -No more guessing what to edit and why. -No more sanitizing your personality in the name of cutting 30%. -No more obsessing over tiny choices that don't actually make a big difference. Goodbye bro editing tips. Hello real advice from someone with real experience (gasp) 🥳 Join the 127 people already on the waitlist:

The problem with a lot of dudes who want a trad-wife is that they refuse to be a traditional husband.

guys will literally complain about why girls need so many bags, so many make up stuff, so many clothes, so many this and that, failing to admit to themselves that they like the results of such things and effort

if they jacked up the price (e.g., added 20%) just to give a discount (e.g., 20% off), then it's deceptive. but if they simply rebranded their promotion from "sale" to "black friday sale", there's obv nothing legally wrong.

i had one prof who gave open-laptop exams, no restrictions. we could access the internet to look things up. he said in the real world, we wouldn’t be tested by what we could memorize. we would be tested on our ability to figure out how to solve the problem
