It's been running live for almost a month now (albeit on trading via API on @Bybit_Official's demo trading environment), the C00166 x C00574 system: tiagosiebler.github.io/vestros/system… Despite a rough October so far, not bad...not bad at all. A little over 10% gain since the 8th of October, with another ~2.3% pending on an open short. Demo trading isn't perfect, slippage might still have an impact in real markets, but this is a walk forward with (execution & funding) fees. 1x leverage.

@tqx_trade Trial count first, binned ideas included. On Vestros the survivors get frozen before the untouched assessment period is opened, PBO gets a look on top, and "nothing survived" counts as a valid result. A lone Sharpe says little about how hard someone searched for it.

@AlgoTraderNQGC Makes sense, ±0.27R at 30 trades is a sobering number to have in mind. Logging every forward trade as it closes, losses included, is the part most people skip. I'll check back once ICT22 has a proper sample behind it.

Late reply, sorry. There are no TradingView alerts in the loop at all. The Pine gets ported to TypeScript and checked against a TV export on the same candles, and the signals come from that port. Fill assumptions live in the backtest config instead: declared fees, slippage and an execution delay, plus OHLC vs OLHC candle paths so the intrabar order can't flatter it. All the exchange data and plumbing comes in over my Siebly SDKs, which are open source.

@0xNoTilt Owning up to the peek is the useful bit. Once a full-history grid has pointed at a setting, the holdout is really just a confirmation. Are you planning to carve out a final slice that stays untouched until the very end?

@DanSFV Fair point, correlated regimes would make that a rerun. A market with genuinely different switch dates would be the cleaner check, though the count of switches stays tiny whichever way you cut it.

PHP is a backend language. Many websites use it. Maybe some apps also communicate with a server written in PHP. Depends... Major massive companies are hopefully fine, but it's be more careful with anything that's indie. If you need to put card details anywhere, ideally use a disposable one like revolut have...

@merry_kirakira Yeah the risk is if someone makes it into that machine via this vulnerability, they could gain access to other connected machines (or push something malicious to your visitors). Lots of risks... Lock it down and patch asap.
