Yesterday we were at @CanterburyCCUni with Dan Garnham from Gentium UK Cyber to deliver a seminar on cyber enabled human trafficking and child exploitation. It was the last in a series of seminars on cyber crime available to IPA members.
Inaugural Brian Deacon Award. In recognition of his 60 years of membership, the branch has created the Brian Deacon Award, given to the Branch member who has most embodied the IPA and/or contributed significantly to the BTP Branch.

One other prediction: decisions to hold misconduct panels behind closed doors, and/or grant anonymity to individuals, will come under greater pressure/scrutiny than is the case now, where the chair is independent.
This morning, during a professional police conversation, I used the phrase ‘manpower’. Managed to get away with it though.
But it is us who are bearing the brunt of it. Who are suffering with the loss of staff, estate, resources. The BCU model, Mi Investigation, MH responses, University, CID portfolios, OSEs. We said this would happen. We said it. No one listened. If only they had listened.

I agree with the UN resolution but the media are concentrating only on the immediate ceasefire and not the demand to release the Israeli hostages. Hamas are refusing to release them so the stalemate and terrible killing sits as much with them as it does with Israel.
