@rtarasovs @hmemcpy It was originally a bad idea to compare languages using frameworks. Both have good and bad examples. I like Scala. I like the beauty of language after I passed a steep learning curve. But it moves in a wrong direction imo. As a result adoption fails.
@rtarasovs @jchacana @hmemcpy This is a generalization I cannot agree with. In typical Java all with Spring the only reflection usage is related to framework. Maybe if you use Hibernate there a lot of reflection. Modern Java moves out to code generation instead. For example Micronaut - Spring w/o reflection
@rtarasovs @hmemcpy I can tell the same about debugging Netty :) If you survived AspectJ then Spring should not be a problem at all. There is only container left which constructs instances instead for you. As simple as Kleisli.
@rtarasovs @jchacana @hmemcpy Java does compile checks too. In Java developers use reflection in very rare cases. If Spring uses reflection it doesn’t mean it is everywhere. Compile checks in Scala are not always reliable. With implicit one wrong import can ruin everything but it compiles.

@rtarasovs @hmemcpy I did this many times and I don’t find Spring internals complicated. With cats-like frameworks the complexity comes from type classes and data types like Kleisli which is not easy to grasp. Spring intervals in compare as simple as 2+2
