I love and am grateful for @lizcookkc’s writing. This is her best yet. “Our problem isn’t that we don’t know what to do. Our problem is that we don’t want to do it.”

Talked to some local bar and restaurant workers about the city reopening for in-room dining. “We’re the canaries in the coal mine, and the canaries do not want to go down in the mine.” thepitchkc.com/weighing-the-p…

The spirit of America has gone haywire. The idea of helping first & asking questions later is rarer & rarer. We’ve created a system that says “we’ll help but, but first what’s in it for me?” 20/

You know an under-appreciated cameo? @derekwaterss in He’s Just Not That Into You. His mug is just chilling in the bottom of the final frame. I’ve seen this movie no less than 15 times and did not notice that until tonight. Into it.

The closing keynote of @NeonOneTech’s #GenerosityExchange was 🔥. Listening to @NonprofitAF and @DeniseWBarreto talk about the state of the world was a privilege and I loved every minute of it.

Feels good to vote (safely and quickly! With a provided stylus swag pen to keep! This is also the height of suburban voting privilege!) for candidates I believe in this November. Rooting for you, @BarbaraBollier, @sharicedavids, and @RuiXuKS.

Okay so @SamKomosa is talking about his interest in decanting the wine he’s opening and my dad chimes in, “oh it’s like a monkey fucking a football” and this is...not a new saying? Is that real?

@NifMuhammad They decided it has enough broth and is the right amount of al dente, so they took it off the burner. Now I’m concerned how long it’s been sitting under a heat lamp, awaiting the cheese. SOS

Mom and dad at the stove arguing about risotto consistency and all I can think about is what @NifMuhammad would do.

It’d be nice if I looked less like Shrek when I drank, but unfortunately that is not the reality.

Saw @SamKomosa’s hat from a distance and just assumed it said “Cleaver.” I...have been watching too much Sopranos.

@blgtylr I mean. I had a dream last night entirely structured around your live-tweeting of Shirley and I haven’t even seen that film. So. Thanks for that.
