@Camp4 There has been a structural change in the financial system that is not reflected in this chart. The Fed discovered QE in 2008. They can now intervene if markets get shaky and cancel a correction.

@Geiger_Capital When the money is backed by nothing and constantly inflated away, rich asset owners get richer while the middle class savers suffer. This creates ever expanding inequality. It’s been like this since 1971.

@levelsio This is because their economic model only makes sense when subsidized by VCs. The subsidies ran out and they had to find a way to make actual money. Hence service quality suffered.

@StealthQE4 His policy is to grow out of debt without devaluing the dollar. Devaluation is used when a country can’t grow its way out of debt through productivity increase.

@GRomePow This is can be true if you're renting it out. You won't be able to raise rents with inflation because nobody can afford it. If you live in the property, you may have a hard time affording the ever rising maintenance costs. But government will cap those to prevent homelessness.

@lawyer4SMBs Their rationale is that the rich had starting opportunities the rest didn’t necessarily have, and they see taxation as a partial equalizer. They’re right about inequality of opportunity but wrong about taxation being the solution.
