It's official! We have Tropical Depression Nine in the Bay of Campeche. As Nine moves north, residents from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle should begin to make preparations for dangerous wind, storm surge, and heavy rainfall resulting in widespread flooding later this week into the weekend.
NHC will initiate advisories on Tropical Depression Nine (formerly AL92), located in the southwest Gulf of America, at 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC).
