I'm grateful to all those that shared their stories with me, especially my friend @ClaytonTuckerTX who has been an indefatigable advocate for farmers and ranchers. As Clayton made clear, rural Texas is being left behind and needs a Lt. Governor who will not only listen, but act.

I just wrapped a day in Lampasas with @LampasasCoDems listening and learning about the challenges facing farmers and ranchers. Our agricultural communities are being destroyed by a state government that serves corporations and not Texans. Here is some of what I learned today:

TY @CollierForTexas for taking the time to meet with us rural Texans to learn about how the game is rigged against us--from non-existent Internet & crumblin roads to BigAg & other monopolies crushing our family businesses. I'm grateful for our friendship, now let's #TurnTexasBlue

Perhaps I’m wrong but maybe we wouldn’t have so many supply chain issues if we didn’t gut our manufacturing so that international corporations could make a dime by not paying American workers?

I said it once, I’ll say it again: Marvin Guy deserves his freedom. Marvin has had his 4th & 6th Amendment rights, & his basic human rights, violated & trampled. I’ll be joining many defenders of justice as we march for his freedom, will join us? mobilize.us/grassrootslawp…

Marvin Guy deserves his freedom. It’s unacceptable that he’s been locked up for 7 yrs without trial—adding insult to injury it’s all about a botched no knock raid, which if you believe in the Constitution shouldn’t even be legal in the first place. Nows the time to #FreeMarvinGuy

7 years ago, police in #KilleenTx poorly executed a no-knock raid that violated countless department policies, ultimately left an officer dead, and has an innocent Black man facing the death penalty for a crime he didn't commit. freemarvinguy.com/?source=tw2021… #FreeMarvinGuy

I'm excited to officially announce that I am running to be the next Democratic Congressman for Texas's 31st Congressional District. It's time we elect a leader that represents our growing and diverse district. With your help, we can make that happen!

Jonathan was one of the organizers for the BLM rally in Killeen, which was one of the most powerful rallies I’ve ever been to. It’s gonna be a tough race, follow him to help him win ✊

This is what happened because we won in Georgia. Imagine what we could do if we abolished the filibuster. #EndTheFilibusterNow

The #ChildTaxCredit is a historic victory. Over 35 million families will begin receiving up to $300 per child from the American Rescue Plan. Every Republican in Congress voted against it. Thank you @SenatorWarnock, Senator @ossoff and GA voters for helping to deliver this help.

"2021 was our best off year of all time. In fact, our movement had 3x the number of victories this year as compared to 2019 and 2017 combined. Even in our electoral shortcomings, there are valuable lessons that show that we’re on the right path." Check out my op-ed! @TexasSignal

Mass incarceration is a public health crisis.

Ayanna Pressley @AyannaPressley

A man died from COVID in a Houston jail cell last week because he couldn't afford the $100 bail. He died for the crime of being poor, awaiting trial for the alleged crime of stealing food. His name was Preston Chaney. Mass incarceration is a public health crisis.
