Supplant blaming “the Mexicans” with “the Banks” alongside an identical lack of follow-through or practicality and the result is one and the same. That’s all I’m going to say on this. #NoBernie2020 #Resist

“America’s real terrorists train in homegrown organizations like UCB, iO and the Socialist Canadian Second City. These monsters use hurtful words against our Great Leaders to manipulate our citizens through involuntary laughter and clever wordplay (so I’m told). SAD!”

CONT’D: “I believe a lot more in Batman than I do in Jesus. My resolve and that I share with others - sensibly, mind you - is not infantile, regressive or ill-informed. I’m living. I wish you all the same comfort, goofy or otherwise.” @billmaher @ThatKevinSmith

CONT’D: “And yes, I’m shouting into a hollow void to vent, but is this any different? I’m a gay half-Mexican single kid with depression and a history of substance abuse and I still manage to force myself out of bed and keep going every goddamn morning. And why?”

CONT’D: “Nerds - at least my particular sect, I’m not as Orthodox as most - are interested, invested and proclaimers of science, politics, culture and basic human discourse because that’s how we have to survive! The system isn’t bent to our will, no matter how much $ Marvel makes

CONT’D: “So when hackles raise and ire (faux and legit) rise and the basis is without actual investment or investigation I call unequivocal fraud. Perhaps not intentional or aware of consequences (again, risk in entertainment is necessary), but don’t go to the front w/a spoon.

CONT’D: “Why does Bugs’ eyebrow arch mean so much with so little? And fake - as Eric Goldberg says, ‘it’s a pile of drawings.’ That matters. It is magnetic, completely fabricated, but the feeling is as real as any childhood crush. Undeniable.”

CONT’D: “Romantic truth is the bottom line for anybody worth their salt in show business. Nothing matters more than the laugh, the query, the thought-provoking moment that, when done right, is as reptile brain as hearing a car crash. That’s the dragon all entertainers chase.

CONT’D: “Escapism is undeniably part of the fabric anyone who writes, performs, cratfs, produces anything in the pop culture ether and to think otherwise is misses the point completely. The same is true of those who dwell and sulk entirely in that manufactured ‘else world.’
