You can get so injured stopping or switching meds that you become intolerant to nearly every pharmaceutical. Antibiotics included. Even sickness/fever can trigger symptoms after a protracted medication injury. Life can be a minefield afterwards. US is

Yes we hear the same story many times - some GPs and psychiatrists don't believe in withdrawal and insist patients can stop long-term medications by stopping from the smallest tablet, even when patients have experienced akathisia or severe symptoms in the past when doing so.
