@DanielO47738161 Ironically, the most notorious denigration of the vulnerable happens to people committed via UK Mental Health Act. Patients committed under this act have a death rate 3x higher than UK prisoners. By the way: I don’t consider myself “anti-psych”. I have nearly died via system.

To those who scapegoat “anti-psychs”: You should have been dealing with the internal corruption within the system first and foremost. You should have been trying to strengthen the welfare system for psych patients and people harmed. Instead, you have wasted time focusing on us.

In 2019, the FDA strengthened a warning that NSAIDs can cause heart attacks or strokes in people with or w/o heart disease. They were linked last year to higher risk of blood clots in women of reproductive age; an association stronger in women on high-risk hormonal contraception.

Folks: it's the same dire picture for Z-Drugs and for Gabapentin. Like many commonly dispensed drugs across medicine approved in the early 90's, strong Black Box warnings weren't given until 2019. All high risk drugs, Gabapentinoids would be nicknamed "Coffin Drugs" by coroners

@atomicaceso @JoshuaMIreland 1/2 Exactly it’s not the point! If I have to have eg: ME/CFS as a diagnosis to get the medical certificates I need to be able to get financial help, how is anyone in the medical community going to learn what is really happening to me?? It’s a shit situation.
Symptoms of a given 'mental disorder' seem to be everywhere. You have two options: 1. Think that many more people 'have it' than originally thought. 2. Question its validity as a disease entity & see the experiences described as continuous with 'normality.' Choose wisely!

Since psych meds have been developed theyve have been prescribed more & more to more & more pple & yet the pple on mental illness disabilty benefits keeps going up & up. I think we need to add a diagnoses criteria box on the disabilty application form: __IATROGENIC PSYCH HARM
@Louthewarrior @atomicaceso @JoshuaMIreland It's a bind during withdrawal, you've either to admit you can't cope without taking a psych drug and be stuck with the label, or deny you need the drug and run the risk even more interventions and more labels. Any lasting neurological injury becomes FND or psychogenic.
