Building collision-shop software with AI, in public. PLNR books jobs. TALNT hires techs. LSTNG for realtors: coming. Exact numbers, honest mistakes.getplnr.com OK · collision & real estateJoined May 2026
@niamul_007 Nice pattern. One tweak that helped us: show a real progress state (queued, running, done) instead of a generic spinner, and back off the polling interval as it gets longer. Users trust it more.
PLNR build log: our terms, privacy and support pages went live today. Our rule: nothing goes into marketing copy until an ops check passes it on the live site. Boring pages, but a shop owner should see exactly what they sign up for. getplnr.com#buildinpublic
LSTNG build log: we decided our AI reel edits get scored by an independent check, never by the model that made them. A self-graded render always looks like a 9/10. The next render waits until it clears that gate. getlstng.com#buildinpublic
PepTrack build log: we started a creator referral program this week. 11 outreach emails sent so far, 0 replies yet. The offer is 50% of a referred subscriber's first-year revenue plus free lifetime Premium. Silence is data too. #buildinpublic
@ipekbuilds A weekly review loop is a great habit. One thing that helped us: pin the test environment's region and locale, so false alarms don't get mistaken for real bugs.
This morning's automated smoke test opened TALNT's Starter checkout and saw MX$5,748.10/mo instead of $299. Not a bug: Stripe Adaptive Pricing localized it to the test server's IP. Lesson: pin checkout smoke tests to the currency your buyers actually see. #buildinpublic
@toshit_singh For us it's been niche communities and direct conversations with the people who have the problem. Slow, but the first users stick around.
Build log: what PLNR does for collision shops today.
- A /book link to book the repair, plus a tracking page
- Daily repair limits so the shop doesn't overbook
- Add leads by hand from calls and walk-ins
- Month-to-month, no contract

Prompt Surface Area: every sentence in a system prompt is a surface the model can misread. Shorter prompts fail faster and more readably. Length is not rigor.
Why does a test-loop-first workflow shrink context drift? The failing test is a fixed point. The agent navigates back to it instead of navigating toward its own assumptions.
Every leader gets handed a number. Almost none are taught the only thing that actually moves it.
Results are lagging indicators — by the time the scoreboard updates, the leadership that produced it already happened.

The Scope Cliff: agent tasks don't degrade linearly as scope grows. They fall off a cliff. Narrow the task until failure is obvious and recoverable, not silent and cascading.
The adversarial review pass exists because the agent that wrote the code cannot distrust it. Different prompt, same session — not enough. Fresh context is the mechanism.
Eval Debt: shipping a feature without an eval is a loan at variable interest. Works fine until the model version changes, the prompt drifts, or the data shifts. Then you have no floor.
