Tonight, all eyes will be on $MSFT and $GOOGL capex spending. If @AnthropicAI is any guide, the spending pays for itself: every $1 it spent on compute brought in $1.80 of revenue!! That explains why it went from $1bn to $50bn in about 1.4 years, faster than any tech giant.
@lisaabramowicz1@DRBCurtis Anthropic’s S-1 shows both sides of that bar: 1/ A successfully adopted agent: revenue -> $1bn to $50bn in 1.4 years (fastest ever). 2/ But even if their own agents don’t take off, Anthropic alone has already committed at least $114.5bn to Google Cloud and $44.9bn to Microsoft.

The length of software tasks AI agents can complete has doubled roughly every 7 months since 2019, and recent models are moving even faster, from 30 seconds of human work in 2022 to a full workday today.
Yet inside most companies, AI still isn't trusted to reliably update records in Salesforce. "AI does not have an intelligence problem," says Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi. "It has a context problem."
Ali's answer is what he calls a "system of record for agents."

I'm not sure people fully appreciate what @AnthropicAI has done.
They went from $1bn of revenue to $50bn in about 1.4 years!!
No tech giant has ever done that:
► Anthropic: c. 1.4 years
► OpenAI is nearly at $50bn after 3.1 years.
► $META Meta: 7.6 years
► $AMZN AWS: 8.3 years
► $GOOGL Google: 9.4 years
► $MSFT Microsoft: 16.8 years
And here's the key insight, two giants still aren't there after nearly 20 years(!):
► $CRM Salesforce: not there after 17
► $NFLX Netflix: not there after 19 years
So for those still doubting if AI demand is real, i think you have your answer.
Congrats @DarioAmodei@bcherny@lydiahallie and team
@RihardJarc Same shift we're seeing in the neoclouds: $10.2bn of the $11.8bn they've raised since June came as convertible notes. More of the AI bill is moving to shareholders.
@StockSavvyShay Well deserved and agreed...and the cash supports it: with what it's raised since June, Nebius has more runway than six of the nine neoclouds we track. Analysis below for ease:
@Speculator_io Some of the long tail may well. For the big listed ones you can put dates on it: WhiteFiber, Applied Digital and CoreWeave run short of funding around about January 2027...so watch the terms of their next raise.
1/ Elon Musk may be right that debt markets may be closing for neoclouds
2/ If true, the important Q is: if no new money arrives, how long does the funding they already have last at their latest building pace?
3/ That seperates the wheat from the chaff x.com/i/article/2115…
As anticipated looks like $META Muse is already starting to pay off for $NVDA
In a nutshell:
► NVIDIA and Meta today announced they will partner to expand their work on Muse and the Muse family of models to improve inference and training performance, reflecting popular demand for useful Al agents.
► Meta's Muse models and agents, which leverage NVIDIA's infrastructure, have delivered frontier-level benchmark performance and surging consumer downloads since launch.
► In addition, NVIDIA will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering.
Everyone Gets an Agent. Who Gets Paid?
As we mentioned yesterday, we think always-on agents can extend the earnings runway for constrained memory and custom chips.
OpenAI’s Dots, Meta’s Muse and xAI’s Grok Bot let people delegate more work without supervising every step.
An
@GlobalMktObserv ...you do realise most of that $80.7bn loss is on paper: $72.4bn is its own convertible notes rising in value as the valuation went up. The operating loss was actually $0.7bn, and operations brought in $3.9bn of cash.
@SergeyCYW Growth looks fine on the filing: revenue covered compute costs 1.8 times in the first half. The pressure point seems to be on the partners who have to finance the buildings, not Anthropic itself... 👀
@wallstengine Worth adding who carries the debt: some of these deals depend on the builders raising the money. Nscale for example has to finance the chips and data centres in its deal. Anthropic signs; the neoclouds borrow. 😃
